altius physio attaches particular importance to respecting your privacy and protecting your personal information, which is why we have implemented a personal information management program and appointed a personal information protection officer.

This policy on the protection of personal information (hereinafter the «policy») is intended to inform you of how Altius Physio collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information.

In order to provide you with quality srevices, we need to have access to certain personal information about you. We ensure that our employees manage this information with all the necessary discretion and rigor, in accordance with the legal and regulatory requirements in force.

Purposes for which personal information is collected

Altius Physio collects and uses personal information for the purposes identified at the time of collection or as permitted or required by law. This includes in particular the following purposes :

  • Establish and manage relationships with our clients;
  •  Establish commercial relations with our customers, in particular for the management of invoicing, the administration of accounts, the collection and processing of
    payments, to limit the risk of non-payment, to allow the collection of payments due;
  • To facilitate the use of our website and ensure its relevance, to monitor the use of our website, to answer questions submitted through our website;
  • Enable business development and marketing, in particular to inform current and future customers about our new services, provide information on recent developments in physiotherapy, osteopathy and massage therapy as well as invitations to events with the prior consent of the person concerned;

  • Recruit staff, process applications and assess the profile of the candidate in relation to the requirements of the position;

  • As permitted or required, for any applicable legal or regulatory obligation or provision;

Altius Physio strives to limit the collection of personal information to what is strictly necessary to accomplish the purposes for which it is collected. Rest assured that we will not disclose or use your personal information for any other purpose, except with your consent or as required by law.

In addition, as you will see in the SECURITY MEASURES RELATING TO PERSONAL INFORMATION section, we limit access to your personal information only to people who have the quality and the need to access it, and this, for a specific purpose.

As a general rule, Altius Physio will obtain the necessary personal information directly from you, with your consent, subject to the exceptions provided for by law.

Altius Physio may also ask for your consent for secondary purposes, for example to invite you to events, to carry out marketing research or to supply its databases. As mentioned above, we will ask for your consent in this regard. Refusal to provide information or withdrawal of your consent will not prevent us from providing our services.

At no time will Altius Physio sell or trade your personal information for payment.

Depending on applicable laws, you may have the right to obtain access to your personal information, its rectification or erasure, the right to withdraw your consent (if applicable), the right to restrict and oppose the use and processing of your personal information by Altius Physio, or the right to data portability, namely to receive a copy of all personal information that Altius Physio has about you in a structured, commonly used and readable format machine.

Depending on the right exercised, we will inform you of the procedure to follow, the processing time (response time) and the information required.

In order to protect your personal information, we have put in place policies, practices and procedures relating to the management of the personal information that we hold. 

These internal policies and procedures govern the collection, use, disclosure, retention and destruction of personal information as well as the handling of complaints, information security and data governance. Altius Physio’s management has delegated management of the personal information management program to the Personal information protection officer. The Officer is responsible for the internal management and oversight of Altius Physio’s personal information management program.

The Officer is responsible for approving and implementing privacy policies and procedures, ensuring their proper functioning, and reporting to Altius Physio management on the program effectiveness.

It is also responsible for providing you with the necessary support in the event of a question, complaint or request relating to the protection of personal information.
