At Altius Physio, visits with a physiotherapy technologist last 45 to 60 minutes. This means you can take the time you need with your patients to provide them with the appropriate care and deepen your relationship with them.

We receive patients who need post-operative care as well as patients who suffer from injuries that are seen more frequently (osteoarthritis, bursitis, sprains, etc.). We also receive sports athletes, both amateur and professional. We accept patients from the SAAQ and referrals from doctors.

Job Description

We are looking for a full-time or part-time physiotherapy technologist to provide quality support to physiotherapists in the assessment and treatment of patients. You will be responsible for implementing rehabilitation programs and supporting patients on their journey to independence.

• Assist physiotherapists during assessments and treatments;
• Develop and execute a functional exercise program adapted to the needs of patients;
• Perform functional assessments and monitor patient progress;
• Educate patients on exercises and pain management techniques;
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient treatments and progress;
• Collaborate with the team to optimize the care provided;
• Prepare letters to physicians as needed;
• All other related tasks.

Job Requirements

• Hold a college diploma (DEC) in physiotherapy techniques or a diploma deemed equivalent by the competent authorities;
• Active member of the Ordre des professionnels de la physiothérapie du Québec (OPPQ);
• Oral and written fluency in French and English;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Empathetic and professional approach to patient care;
• Be in good physical shape and be able to intervene to secure a patient.
