At Altius Physio, visits with a physiotherapy technologist last 45 to 60 minutes.<\/span><\/span> This means you can take the time you need with your patients to provide them with the appropriate care and deepen your relationship with them.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

We receive patients who need post-operative care as well as patients who suffer from injuries that are seen more frequently (osteoarthritis, bursitis, sprains, etc.).<\/span><\/span> We also receive sports athletes, both amateur and professional.<\/span><\/span> We accept patients from the SAAQ and referrals from doctors.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Job Description <\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>

We are looking for a full-time or part-time physiotherapy technologist to provide quality support to physiotherapists in the assessment and treatment of patients.<\/span><\/span> You will be responsible for implementing rehabilitation programs and supporting patients on their journey to independence.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

  • Assist physiotherapists during assessments and treatments;<\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Develop and execute a functional exercise program adapted to the needs of patients;<\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Perform functional assessments and monitor patient progress;<\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Educate patients on exercises and pain management techniques;<\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient treatments and progress;<\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Collaborate with the team to optimize the care provided;<\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Prepare letters to physicians as needed;<\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • All other related tasks.<\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    Job Requirements<\/strong><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>

    • Hold a college diploma (DEC) in physiotherapy techniques or a diploma deemed equivalent by the competent authorities;<\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Active member of the Ordre des professionnels de la physioth\u00e9rapie du Qu\u00e9bec (OPPQ);<\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Oral and written fluency in French and English;<\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;<\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Empathetic and professional approach to patient care;<\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Be in good physical shape and be able to intervene to secure a patient.<\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>
